The first of its kind in Ontario, this two-year diploma program is designed for high school graduates and combines the disciplines of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, surveying/GPS, and Cartography. The program focuses on geographic data collection, interpretation, presentation and dissemination.
- Develop expertise in all areas of geomatics, and in the use of a broad range of operating systems and software used in the industry today.
- Practice your skills in our new geomatics lab and at geomatics field camp.
When you complete this program, you may choose to pursue a post-graduate specialist certificate in either GIS Applications Specialist, or GIS Cartographic Specialist. By meeting specific course average criteria in the Geomatics program, and taking two additional online courses, you can qualify for entry into semester two of either the GIS Applications or GIS Cartographic Specialist program.
