Laurentian University was founded a half century ago to bring knowledge to Northeastern Ontario.Today, Laurentian not only reflects and serves the region; it also shares its expertise worldwide.Research originally conducted to meet the needs of the immediate community – for example, in the fields of mining, northern and rural health, environmental restoration – has applications for similar communities in Canada and abroad. As a result, Laurentian is attracting students and faculty from other places, as well as “exporting” its know-how.

Bachelor of Arts General or Bachelor of Arts Honours

 

Fleming graduates with a cumulative G.P.A. of "A" on an appropriate 3-year diploma will be considered for admission to the College-University Arts Degree Completion Program. Candidates will be required to complete a minimum of 6 to 7 full courses (36 to 42 credits) for a general Arts degree, or a minimum of 8 to 9 full courses (48 to 54 credits) for a specialized or honours degree depending on the degree of affinity of the College diploma program to the University program.

Applicants who are presenting a cumulative G.P.A. of "B" on an appropriate 3-year diploma or on the last two semesters of the 3-year diploma will be considered for admission with transfer credits to a maximum of 36 credits.

Applicants who are presenting a cumulative G.P.A. of "C+" on an appropriate 3-year diploma or on the last two semesters of the 3-year diploma will be considered for admission with transfer credits to a maximum of 24 credits.
