Admissions Information

How To Apply

Fleming College is one of the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology. To apply to Fleming College:

  1. Apply online through ontariocolleges.ca which is the Ontario Colleges Application Service.
    • You can indicate up to five programs of your choice (with a maximum of three programs at any single college).
    • You may submit one application form per academic year.
    • An $95.00 non-refundable application fee must accompany each form.
    • A limited number of paper applications are available. To obtain one, call the Customer Contact Centre at ontariocolleges.ca or contact the Office of the Registrar - Admissions at Fleming College.
  2. Ontariocolleges.ca transmits the application information to the college(s) selected on the application form.
  3. While it is possible to receive acceptances to all of your choices, you are only permitted to accept one program offer per academic year.
    • If changes are necessary to your name, address, program or start date after submission of the application, contact ontariocolleges.ca.

When to Apply

  • Apply by February 1st to meet the equal consideration deadline for programs starting in Fall 2010, Winter 2011 and Spring 2011. Applications from qualified applicants received by ontariocolleges.ca on February 1 and earlier receive equal consideration in application processing. This is important especially for highly popular programs, sometimes called "oversubscribed" programs. Applications received after February 1 are processed on a first-come, first-served basis (until programs are full).

Students Applying From High School

  • If you are a current highschool student, we encourage you to work with your high school guidance office to complete your college application. You will require your Ontario Education Number (OEN) to complete your application. Contact your guidance office for further information.

Mature Students

  • If you are 19 years or older by the beginning of classes, but have not yet completed your high school diploma, you should submit your application and any relevant high school transcripts to ontariocolleges.ca.
  • Any additional information required - such as birth certificates or mature student test results - should be forwarded to Fleming College.

Advanced Standing

  • If you have university or college credits and are seeking advanced standing, you must request a copy of your post-secondary transcript using the on-line transcript request feature of the application on the ontariocolleges.ca website. Originals or photocopies of Ontario college or university transcripts will not be accepted.

Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR)

  • If you are an adult learner who wants to go back to school, you may be eligible for college credits through PLAR.
  • PLAR is based on the premise that many adults acquire higher learning skills and knowledge through work experience, community, home and volunteer activities, non-college and independent study, travel and leisure activities.
