Star Daughter Woman (Nuin-Tara Wilson) ᓄᐃᓐᑕᕋ, Eeyou Istchee is a Cree artist in Nogojiwanong that paints pieces that tell stories of the land and her reconnection journey to her culture. A teacher at the Art School of Peterborough since 2019, her artwork is in private collections across Turtle Island and beyond. An active participant in local community art projects, Star Daughter Woman has painted Murals, Patio Picnic Tables and a Canoe Paddle in the Nogojiwanong (Peterborough) area. She continues to learn her cultural teachings through other indigenous artists, such as beadwork and other teachings that directly inspire her paintings which she considers medicine art.
