This course along with A+ Essentials - Hardware, validates knowledge of basic computer operating systems, covering skills such as installation, building, upgrading, repairing, configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing, diagnosing and preventive maintenance, with additional elements of security and soft skills. Completion of this course and the A+ Essentials - Hardware will enable students to write the core CompTIA A+ Essentials Exam 220-701. The Essentials exam validates the basic skills needed by any entry-level service technician regardless of job environment. It is the first of two exams required to achieve one of the following three designations: A+ IT Technician, A+ Remote Support Technician, or A+ Depot Technician.
