Programs For Workplace (E) Graduates

Fleming College offers several programs that lead to rewarding careers for Workplace (E) Graduates.

If you have an OSSD with the majority of credits at the Workplace (e) level, including English you are eligible for entry into any of the programs listed below.

Programs for workplace graduates get students ready to enter the workforce and many lead to further program opportunities at Fleming.

  • When Workplace (E) is the minimum course level for admission, (c) and (U/C) level courses are also accepted
  • OLC 40 meets the English requirement
  • Learning Support Services are available for all full time students at Fleming College, as required

Blasting Techniques

The only program of its kind in Canada.
Direct entry into 2nd semester Resources Drilling Technician (Optional Co-op).

Esthetician

Graduate ready to work in destination spas, resorts, cruise ships, clinics, or with experience, open your own business.

Forestry Equipment Operator

Careers for graduates within this program can include work as logging and machinery operators, silviculture and forestry workers, chainsaw and skidder operators, logging and forestry labourers, and heavy equipment operators.

Hairstyling

Combine art and science to become a licensed professional hairstylist. Learn the latest techniques and entrepreneurial skills from award-winning professionals.

Heavy Equipment Operator

Graduate with skills to operate a variety of heavy equipment and learn about worksite and equipment safety.

Mechanical Techniques – Plumbing

Gain trade-specific skills.
Grads are eligible to receive the Level One Plumbing Apprenticeship exemption.
Earn transfer credits to reduce your workload if you choose to enter an additional Trades program.

Motive Power Technician - Recreation Sport Vehicles

We are the only college in Ontario offering a diploma program with interdisciplinary training for aviation, marine, recreational vehicles, and small engine maintenance and repair. An optional co-op and in-school apprenticeship training ensures you will graduate with a head start on your career. Graduates will receive Level 1 in-school apprenticeship training for: Small Engine Technician - 435A, Marine Engine Technician - 435B, Turf Equipment Technician - 421C, Recreational Vehicle Technician - 690H*

* Students will also complete their RV-2 LPG Certification (Recreational Vehicle Technician - 690H), which is required for students to advance to Level 2 of this apprenticeship.

Personal Support Worker

Grads may be eligible for the Bridge to Practical Nursing program.
Once part-time bridge courses are completed, enter directly into 2nd semester of Practical Nursing diploma program.

Trade Fundamentals

A sampler of basic level trades courses. Students can apply to semester 1 of Trades & Technology diplomas.
