School of Trades and Technology offering mandatory Working at Heights certification

Peterborough ON – (May 11, 2017) – Fleming College is offering the Working at Heights certification, a training program approved and accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Labour.

The certification is now mandatory in Ontario for all workers who have the potential of working at heights.

Working at Heights, hosted at the Kawartha Trades and Technology Centre at Sutherland Campus, focuses on safe work practices with the goal of eliminating injuries and accidents. Course participants will gain hazard awareness and fall protection training in the classroom as well as through practical experience in a simulation lab.

Fleming is currently offering mid-week and Saturday courses. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required – hard hat, safety boots and safety glasses.

Fleming College is a Chief Prevention Officer-approved training provider for Working at Heights training.
