Full-Time Support Staff at Ontario colleges are on strike as of September 11

All campuses will remain open and classes will be delivered remotely wherever possible. In-person labs will proceed as scheduled, unless you are notified otherwise. Please check your D2L course page regularly for updates. To help you stay informed, please visit flemingcollege.ca/bargaining-updates.

Please note that it is standard practice in all labour disruptions to establish a Picket Line Protocol to ensure safe access for staff, public, and in our case, students. Fleming College engaged with our Full-Time Support Staff Union prior to the strike, to ensure safe and less disruptive conditions; however, the union refused to sign. Safety of our campus users is paramount and without signed protocols we cannot allow access to picketers.

To serve as a reminder, bargaining is centrally managed by the College Employer Council (CEC), and we hope a fair agreement is reached for all parties.
